My name is Ken Middleton. I am 66 years old and live in a small village in England. I am a Christian. I play the ukulele.
For 35 years I was a classroom music teacher at a high school. Now, I play and teach ukulele. I also work part-time for Ohana Music Inc. Ohana is a well-known ukulele company based in Long Beach, California.
Recently, I created my own ukulele string company called Living Water Strings. These strings are made from pure fluorocarbon. I initially made them for myself. I wanted some strings that exactly fitted my requirements. They have certainly been very well received. They are available for all four sizes of ukulele: Soprano, Concert, Tenor and Baritone.
Contrary to what it says on the packet, they are made by me, in England. You can buy my strings from this website.
Teaching workshops at various event and music festivals is something I love doing. I offer a wide range and variety of classes on different aspects of ukulele playing.
I regularly perform at festivals too. It has been my privilege to perform with some of the world’s best ukulele players. I now count many of them as good friends and stay in regular contact. It is wonderful to keep meeting up with them in different parts of the world.
Here is a photo of Liz, my wife, at the Ohana stand at the recent Ukes for UNICEF festival at Berkhamsted, near London.
Whenever I visit anywhere I always try to make YouTube videos. Please check out my channel to see some of these videos. At the time of writing this I have made over 720 ukulele videos, as well as many more on my other channels.
Please check my calendar to see which events I will be attending this year.
I started my YouTube ukulele channel early in 2008 and since then I have
got to know many great players and enthusiasts of the instrument. Although I have not had the chance to meet all of them in person, I really value their friendship, support and encouragement.
If you want to get in touch with me, use one of the email addresses below. Please be aware that I regularly attend festivals and other ukulele events and may not be able to get back to you immediately. However, I do check emails every day.
